APC was held on Labour Day at Cititel.
so, i wasn't too sure what happened before 12pm as i reached around 12pm.
so as usual, pictures speak alright?
let's start with a group photo,

the day starts here. JJC President Forum 2009.

our president was giving a presentation.

&everyone was listening!

later on, there was Dialogue Area with Chairman.

some of us before the talks started.

after it ended, we were given some time to change.
& of course to quench our thirst.

and we went to opposite City Bayview Hotel for team building session.

and after the fun-filled team building, again we went back to Cititel.
sweating and tired.
few hours later, the dinner starts.

Visit to Old Folks Home on 6th February

So, about the last friday, we went Velvet Glory to visit old folks. It's a private old folks home a stone's throw from our school. apparently, they are not poor, most of them went in because their sons/daughters were busy with works and didn't have time to take care of them. the weird thing is that; according to the nurses, those in second floor had problems with walking, why don't they move them downstairs right? okay continue, we went to distribute mandarin oranges to the old folks and had some games with them. Only those in ground floor get to join in game, don't ask me why. So, few members were upstairs chatting and listening to the old folks, some were singing with the old folks, they are cute, seriously. Well, I don't really know what's happening at the ground floor. I guess i'll just let the pictures do most of the talking.

Play Camp 2008

I'm really sorry for not updating for ~~some time~~ so long....
And so, I checked my Jaycees photo album and there it is - Play Camp!
Yea, Play Camp! which was half a year ago....
I took the time to resize the photos since they're quite big files and later on uploaded them into our Picasa Web Album.

Play Camp is a camp organized by JCI Pearl every year and as a part of it, we, the Union JJCs, were required to help out to make a successful fun camp for the children. Yep, Play Camp is only for kids from the age of 7-12 to join. But, we're the BIG CHILDREN who played along with them throughout the camp. It's camp for the children to learn some new things while playing and there's Treasure Hunt too. Now, I shall let the photos do the talking.

History of JCI

Almost a century ago, Henry "Hy" Giessenbier, Jr., and a group of young people decided to take responsibility for their personal and professional development as well as for the progress and welfare of their community by helping tackle difficult problems around them. Together with other 32 young men, Giessenbier established the Young Men's Progressive Civic Association (YMPCA), JCI's First Local Organization, at the Mission Inn in St. Louis, Missouri, on October 13, 1915.

Since 1915, countless dedicated young leaders like Giessenbier have ensured the organization's progress while contributing to the development of JCI members and the advancement of their communities. Their efforts and achievements must not be forgotten.

The historic information presented here is an effort to honor those leaders. Thanks to contributions from former JCI officers, staff members, members in general and collaborators, we have gathered significant historic details. JCI publications have also been used as reference. We hope JCI's history will serve to inspire future generations of JCI members to emulate their predecessors and take the organization to higher and higher levels of accomplishment.

Phew~just created an account in Flickr and have uploaded almost every photos of ANC. Will provide the link to you guys soon. Hell yeah, I have used 96MB out of 100MB for this month, but fortunately June is going to end soon. So I guess there's no worry of limited space for uploaded photos in our Flickr account. I just need time to upload, get the codes and paste them here.

Oh, right! We're going to PLAY CAMP tomorrow in Shang Wu Primary from 7.30a.m. until 6.30p.m. Yep, playing with those cheeky, mischievous, naughty YET cute (I hope so) little kids from age of 7-12 or perhaps even younger.

Annual National Convention 08

It was on 1st June 08 when the Union JJC attended the Annual National Convention(ANC) in ChungLing High School organised by ChungLing JJC and us with the help of JCI Pearl. First of all, let the pictures do the talking, alright? You know, it takes quite a long time for one to upload HUGE sizes of photos. And where's the Information Director? I need adequate information before I can continue. So, hopefully you'll enjoy looking at the photos. When I have enough info, I'll come back to update again. Sorry for some of the blurry and distorted photos, I wasn't the one who took the photos, blame the photographer for his/her "superb" skills.
